Knight Gold lead by Charlie Patel successfully beat the No 1 team Bulls to advance to the finals against Elite. Knights batted first and put a very reachable target for Bulls of 172 in 35 overs, but an excellent bowling spell by the openers put Bulls on their back foot and then the match started to drift away into the Knight's lap. Excellent bolwing figures and excellent rotation by the captain kept the Bulls in control. Knights have been considered as underdogs and Bulls decided to take it easy costing them the finals of 2007.
